Tea Table

Project type: Woodworking

Date: December 2023

Location: University of Arkansas at Little Rock

About:

In creating my table, I prioritized determining its function. I opted for a tea table that can accommodate pots, cups, plates, and teas. Drawing inspiration from mid-century modern style, I particularly focused on the legs and their free-flowing form to achieve an organic shape. By keeping the leg colors simple with white, I aimed to direct the viewer's attention to the natural color and design of the wood. The addition of cup holders ensures that the dishes remain in place, making the piece both aesthetically pleasing and functional. My goal was to achieve a minimalist and elegant design in both shape and color to highlight the various china that could be displayed on it.
