About:
The main objective of this project was to develop a fresh Olympics logo for the Brussels team. To achieve this, I sought inspiration from their rich customs and traditions. Brussels is particularly renowned for its traditional Belgian crafts, such as lacemaking, tapestry, glasswork, and pottery. Drawing from these influences, I designed the logo to resemble a stained glass artwork, featuring an intricate flower pattern. For the flower design, I specifically chose the red poppy, as it holds great significance in Brussels. The red poppy, scientifically known as papaver rhoeas, is often regarded as the unofficial national flower of Belgium. By incorporating the elements of stained glass and poppy flowers, I ensured that each design component of the logo harmoniously complemented one another. To further enhance this effect, I utilized thick lines to demarcate different sections, similar to the technique employed in stained glass craftsmanship.
