Self Portrait
Project type: Printmaking (Lino)

About:
During the process of designing this artwork, I drew significant inspiration from Picasso's printmaking designs. To achieve a simplistic aesthetic, I opted for a minimalistic approach in creating my self-portrait. By utilizing blocks of colors and lines, I was able to infuse movement and dynamism into the composition, thereby making it visually striking. In order to maintain coherence, I extended the use of lines and simple shapes from the foreground to the background. This deliberate choice allowed me to effectively utilize the negative white space in the background. However, a considerable amount of planning and designing was required to ensure that the background and foreground seamlessly blend together, while still enabling the viewer to discern their distinction.
