Nephesh is a piece from my series titled "Concept the Soul". I delved into the realm of theology and explored how the soul is depicted in religious teachings. Religion is often overlooked in the art world, so I decided to tackle this challenging subject and demonstrate my interpretation of the theme "Understanding the Soul". In my artwork "Nephesh," I incorporated organic shapes to bring out a sense of layering and depth. To enhance the texture, I included textured yarn and fabric, which added different variations to the overall composition. Additionally, I utilized different lines to create a sense of unity within the piece. Instead of relying on common theological symbols like iconography, I explored color symbolism in theology to convey deeper meanings.
